Korda - Krimps 0.6mm

Korda Krimps (0.6mm) are small metal crimp ferrules used to lock connections between hooklinks, leaders, and swivels in place of conventional knots. The 0.6mm diameter is designed to suit a specific hooklink or leader diameter — the line passes through the crimp sleeve, forms a loop or connection, and the crimp is then compressed using a crimping tool to create a permanent, knot-free join.

Crimp connections are favoured by many anglers over knots because they create a perfectly neat, consistent connection every time with no weak points from knot tying, and they eliminate the risk of knot slippage under load. Krimps are especially popular in stiff rig construction where fluorocarbon or stiff braid is used. Each pack contains a large quantity of individual crimp sleeves.
