Korda - Splicing Needle

The Korda Splicing Needle is a fine, hooked needle used to create loop splices in braided hooklink materials and super-braid lines. The narrow point passes easily through the outer weave of a braid, and the hooked tip catches on the inner core or a separate line section, allowing it to be pulled back through to form a neat, strong spliced loop without any knot.

Spliced loops are neater and lower-profile than knotted loops, and in materials such as Super Natural braid they can be marginally stronger than a conventional knotted connection. The Splicing Needle is a compact tool that fits easily into a rig wallet.
