Korda - Shok Bead

The Korda Shok Bead is a rubber buffer bead designed to absorb the sudden shock load that occurs on the main line knot during a long-distance cast. On powerful overhead casts — particularly when using a spod, spomb, or heavy lead — the forces generated at the main line-to-leader knot can weaken or damage the line over time. The Shok Bead sits at the knot junction to spread and absorb this impact.

The Shok Bead is also used as a buffer stop between the lead system and the main line, preventing the lead clip or swivel from crashing into knots or abrupt line joints. Suitable for both spod/spomb setups and standard carp fishing rigs.
