Korda - Shrink Tube Clear 1.6mm

Korda Shrink Tube Clear (1.6mm) is a clear, heat-shrinkable tube used over the hook bend and shank in rig construction to set a specific hook angle and improve the turning and hooking mechanics of carp rigs. Sliding a short length of shrink tube over the hook bend and applying steam or hot water shrinks the tube tightly around the wire, locking the hooklink at the desired angle.

The 1.6mm diameter suits a specific range of hook sizes — smaller diameters for fine-wire or smaller hooks, larger for heavier-gauge patterns. The clear colourway makes it virtually invisible on the hook and does not mask the natural colour of the hook metal. Shrink tube is a fundamental component in many proven carp rig presentations including the Ronnie rig, KD rig, and blow-back rig.
